Caterpillar Reach Stackers Austin

A type of vehicle which is meant to transport containerized cargo in small and mediumsized ports and terminals is called a reach stacker. Reach stackers are really perfect for quickly shuttling containers short distances and stacking them in rows.



Reach stackers are a popular choice for handling intermodal cargo containers due to their flexibility. They are capable of stacking higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks can be kept four-deep.



Another version of the stacker is designed to handle empty containers only.



Kinds of Forklift Reach

Normally utilized on construction environments is a type of forklift known as forklift reach. It is outfitted with very large tires which provide great stability on uneven terrain and a boom. The forklift reach comes in the following variations:



The Stand-Up Reach includes a narrow width that makes it appropriate for racked pallet storage.
