Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the load away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specially to raise personnel. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
