CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these units are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for tasks which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. As the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These units are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models carry out jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work site.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers in order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs requiring many man hours to be carried out in much less time. These equipment have greatly increased productivity and have revolutionized the material handling industry.
