Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You can often find pneumatic forklifts in warehouses and shipping operations. Also known as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized to move materials and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.
To be able to avoid loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated carefully. Machine must be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle can smoothly turn. The pallet should be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is not safe to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
