Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial settings where the equipment has to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the flexibility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC machine.
Some of the important characteristics provided by this combination consist of up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. In addition, the zero tail-swing offered by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls provide the machinery with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates 90 degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and over, up and out positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this type is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine equipment on most modes have an articulating boom that offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machinery are ideal in narrow or small places. Additionally, they offer excellent torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are generally quiet as well. Most models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
