Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The main objective is to be able to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and really comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important information, in order to keep the operator working as efficiently as she or he could.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. Additionally, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 multi-functioned ergonomically positioned and simple to operate levers that are provided for the horn, window washers, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
A ventilation/heating unit ensure a comfy cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for heating, cooling, recirculation and defrosting. As an extra option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The standard instruments which comprise: warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Additionally, gauges display values for engine coolant, gearbox oil pressure, fuel quantity and operating time.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is amongst the key options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the equipment. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any errors which happen and their current values.
