Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the noises produced from the forklift itself.
The sound produced by the audio device should be discernible from other audible devices or sounds from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work place. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get deactivated from workers and operators because they can find them really annoying. Additionally, audible devices can also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and reduce other concerns. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every particular use, the operator could choose the performance need. Moreover, it enables a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and lessen the model's maximum performance enables a new operator to learn the operating characteristics of the equipment in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the model and when this happens, it requires a supervisor to re-enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
